Scott has focused his entire insurance and risk management career in the life sciences field, harnessing his expertise from prior roles with pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device companies. Scott specializes in domestic and international product liability, clinical trials and professional liability. Being a technical expert in his field, Scott knows that clients want to work with insurers that understand their specific industry, understands its needs, challenges and risks and most importantly, how to minimize risks and increase profit margin.
Regulatory Compliance, QMS, Bioethics
Jane is responsible for preparation of regulatory submissions (PMA/ PMA Supplements, Periodic reports, Design Dossiers, Substantial Change Amendments etc.) to ensure compliance with FDA regulations and guidelines for (Class II & III device & drug/device combination products. She provides technical/QC review of data & reports that will be incorporated into official Regulatory Submissions to assure scientific rigor, accuracy and clarity of presentation for documentation (Risk Management, Design Verification, Design Validation and (Shelf Life, Pre-clinical, clinical) studies. Write/update standard operating procedures, work instruction or policies. Review Product Labeling, Batch Records, Specification Sheets or Test Methods for compliance with applicable regulations and policies. Maintain well-organized, auditable regulatory files.
Tom Adams, PhD
Research Engineer, Energy Harvesting
Tom Adams has worked in power and energy for over 25 years for the US Navy at NSWC Crane. He earned a BSEE from University of Akron (1987), a MSSE from Naval Post Graduate School (2007) and from Purdue University, a MSNE (2011) and Ph.D. NE (2014). Early on he evaluated power and battery systems for missiles, aerospace and underwater applications. Later on, he worked on long-life power sources such as energy harvesting and nuclear conversion. He researched improvements for betavoltaics and tritium storage materials. He currently is developing a hybrid betavoltaic power source and pursuing applications in military and commercial to transition developed technology. He has submitted over 20 articles and presentations, and is a current member of several organizations, Inter-Agency Power Group, American Society of Naval Engineers, and American Nuclear Society, American Society of Mechanical Engineers and American Society of Engineering Education.

John spent 25+ years with Pfizer, Inc., Senior Sales Manager, with responsibilities for hiring, training, mentoring and monitoring the activities of sales representatives and managers. He subsequently worked as a Business Development Leader for a company that developed continuing medical educational programming where he was an expert at preparing complex pharmaceutical grant applications. Most recently, Mr. Torba worked with Transdermal Therapeutics Inc., developing and implementing effective field sales hiring, training and monitoring programs. His responsibilities also included compliance training and management development.
Mr. Torba holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology from Long Island University, C.W. Post College, New York.
Jane is a results-driven business consultant with over 20 years of experience overseeing operations, projects and business service. She facilitates the planning, development and implementation of technology within the QA industry. Jane embodies a unique blend of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Project Management, Lean 6 Sigma, Big Data Analytics, Web Development & Design skills within the insurance, healthcare and biotech industries. Her expertise and experience cover multiple disciplines making her an asset to any organization.
Most recently Jane has earned a Masters Degree in Bioethics from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. Her multi-disciplinary approach is an asset for research protocol reviews and IRB participation.
Along with Jane’s knowledge and experience in various life sciences fields, she is an expert Web Developer and Designer. Her knowledge of SEO and social media marketing provides marketing insights for pharmaceutical and medical device companies.
